My research and teaching addresses questions related to the themes of political representation and democratic citizenship in Latin America, with a focus on Brazil.

I study patterns of political behavior, citizen empowerment, and democratic legitimacy across the region with an emphasis on social assistance programs. In my research, I work closely with the Latin American Public Opinion Project.
